Circa £38k plus car and overtime (Average earnings £55k-£59k)

Location – Central belt of Scotland.

My clients are a global manufacturer of high precision machine tools for milling, turning, boring and grinding.  They represent market leading machines and have an HQ in Europe and various manufacturing plants.  They are proud that their maintenance services significantly enhance customer quality and productivity.

With this in mind they are keen to attract a high skill level of engineer or engineers with the ambition and potential to train and develop to be the best.  In return they offer an excellent package including PAID OVERTIME (working hours are paid door to door) at premium rates plus family allowances, pension scheme and a great holiday offering

The role they seek to fill is an Multi Skilled CNC Service Engineer to carry out the installation, service and repair of high specification 5 axis horizontal and vertical machine tools.  Work will be throughout the UK and on occasion, will involve short trips abroad.

The role involves (but is not limited to) fault finding, diagnosing and correcting errors on 5 axis CNC Milling Machine Tools.  In addition, assembling setting up and dismantling hydraulic, pneumatic and large mechanical assemblies.  Working knowledge of Siemens 840D control system is essential.

Ideally, you will be time served and have worked in a similar position; either within a machine tool organisation or in the maintenance side of the industry. You should be able to work alone, away from home for short periods of times and have excellent communication skills.

The role they seek to fill is an Electrical Service Engineer to carry out the installation, service and repair of high specification 5 axis horizontal and vertical machine tools.  Work will be throughout the UK and on occasion, will involve short trips abroad.

The role involves (but is not limited to) fault finding, diagnosing and correcting errors on 5 axis CNC Milling Machine Tools.  Interrogating PLC programs using Siemens S7.

Ideally, you will be time served and have worked in a similar position; either within a machine tool organisation or in the maintenance side of the industry. You should be able to work alone, away from home for short periods of times and have excellent communication skills.

Applicants should be conversant with Siemens 840D control systems and able to interrogate control software

The role involves (but is not limited to) fault finding, diagnosing and correcting errors on large 5 axis CNC Milling Machine Tools.  In also includes assembling, setting up and dismantling hydraulic, pneumatic and large mechanical assemblies.

Ideally, you will be time served and have worked in a similar position; either within a machine tool organisation or in the maintenance side of the industry. You should be able to work alone and have excellent communication skills.

In addition, you should be used to working away from home for periods of time and be happy to travel.  A strong location for candidate would be the West Midlands and close to the motorway network for easy access for the whole of the UK.

Machine Tool Service – Midlands – Minimal travel

Circa £40,000 plus bonuses based on work, car and healthcare.

I am looking for a Midlands based machine tool service engineer, to join a small but growing team within a machine tool company in the Midlands.

The role will become more managerial/office based as time goes by and more engineers are added to the team.  Therefore, applicants must be capable of admin/managerial responsibilities which will grow.

Initially the role is field service/breakdown but the successful candidate will be in the office 1-2 days a week and time is managed sensibly for external visits which means this would suit a service engineer looking to cut down on extensive travel.

Ideal requirements:

  • Electrical & mechanical service experience
  • Comfortable talking to customers for telephone support and organize visits/diary.
  • Happy dealing with suppliers discussing breakdowns/repairs & spares.

Machine Tool Servicing Engineer – South

My clients are a large providers of CNC Machines to the UK market and due to further expansion, they are looking to add to their Service Team with a servicing engineer who will have a knowledge of CNC Machine Tools and who will have the desire to train and develop as a Machine Tool Service Engineer.

This role gives someone the opportunity to start at the foot of a reputable Machine Tool provider and undergo continuous training to constantly improve their skill set and move up the career ladder.  Initially the role involves annual servicing of the machines in customer premises throughout the UK.  It is ideal for someone with a basic knowledge of the machines from a maintenance point of view.

You must be prepared to travel throughout the UK although it will be ideal if you live in the central South area, close to a motorway network.  This is a fantastic opportunity with one of the industry’s market leaders – full training (initial and ongoing) will be provided.  Their machine portfolio spans across the whole spectrum.

Applicants must have knowledge of CNC Machine Tools – apprentices and maintenance engineers looking to move out on the road will be strongly considered.
