Software Sales – National

Circa £50,000 plus commission and benefits, including car.

My clients are a unique organisation offering a portfolio of services ranging from machine software (embracing factory digitalisation) to upgrades to spare parts to refurbs to machine installation and removals amongst other offerings.  They are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Sales Manager to head up the brand new UK sales team. In this role, you will be required to source new customers and business contacts, demonstrate the technical features of our products, drive sales, and maintain strong customer relations.

To ensure success, you should have strong knowledge of general automation and control systems, primarily with some sort of automation control systems, Siemens, Fanuc etc. A good background in sales would be ideal, but they are flexible for the right candidate. The ability to travel is required from time to time but depending on general geographic location of the successful candidate, excessive overnight travel will be as small as possible. Also you will be required to attend various courses and seminars around the world, Germany, UK, Israel and the USA.

Ultimately, a top-class technical sales executive drives business by understanding the needs of the client and providing them with the right product choices. Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing potential new customers.
  • Maintaining regular contact and relationships with existing customers.
  • Travelling to customer locations to talk about our product range and understand their needs.
  • Demonstrating the technical features/benefits of our products.
  • Advising customers on technology upgrades and related products.
  • Composing tender documents and customer proposals.
  • Generating purchase orders and sales receipts.
  • Maintaining strong customer relations.
  • Attending product training courses and seminars.
  • Meeting sales targets.
  • Maintaining personal expense records and customer visit records on our web-based management system

Applications/Projects Engineer – Siemens

Circa £45,000 depending on ability plus bonuses and benefits

My clients are a well-known machine tool manufacturer who seek to add to their Applications and Projects Engineering team and build further on their extremely successful existing business.  It’s important to note that my clients are a market leader in their field and both the company and it’s machines are known globally as being some of the very best.

The company have a vast range of machine tools in their portfolio encompassing both milling and turning. For this particular role however, a good knowledge of the Siemens control system is needed.  It is also advantageous to have knowledge of at least one CAM package and be strong on 5-Axis.

If you have experience in an Applications Engineer position or a project type role encompassing Siemens, this is ideal but my clients will consider engineers looking to move from the shop floor and build a career.  Midlands base ideal.

The successful applicant will work on projects of various sizes throughout the UK at customer premises and from home and will involve training, demos, time studies etc.  Travel is an integral part of the role and you must be prepared to stay away from home when necessary.
